Welcome

Hello there, I'm glad you're here.
Because there are so many ideas about how to live, and what we should do, I want to offer time and space in which people can connect with what is right for them.
Whether you have a goal in mind or have no idea where to begin, I'm glad to start wherever you are.
If you have questions about anything at all, or want to have a conversation to get a feel for me, then please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
A bit about me
After having counselling myself, which felt so valuable, I applied to do a counselling course, and from the very first exercise, I knew it was what I wanted to do. I trained as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist for 4 years before choosing to specialise in Person Centred Therapy after becoming fascinated by the subtleties and potential of the approach, with its commitment to freedom and trust in humans' capacity for healing, development, and problem-solving. This is the anchor of my practice now, and means I am especially committed to support your unique way, rather than coaxing you along paths or expecting you to fit a theoretical ideal of what a human being ought to be. If this intrigues you I am always open to questions.
I have experience of working with adults of all ages, from a variety of backgrounds, genders, and neurotypes, with a wide range of experiences. My way of working can be helpful for all people, no matter what their background or history. Things I have a particular understanding of are (but not limited to): depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties; short-term psychosis and manic episodes; religious or spiritual trauma or abuse; faith shifts and deconstruction; struggles with creativity, meaning, and purpose. I have worked and volunteered since 2019 for organisations offering counselling and support to people who have struggles with addiction and people who have experienced sexual abuse.
I gladly continue my learning and development through various means of study, reflection, and input from other professionals. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and a member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their codes of ethics. I meet monthly with my clinical supervisor and engage regularly in my own personal therapy as a means of growth and to keep my work to a high standard.
When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, I still love exploring life’s depths, whether out in the wilds, buried in a book, or doing other things that most people do.
